Hi, I’m Bri, founder of Partnering for Purpose, LLC.
I am a Licensed Associate Counselor and a double-certified Equine Specialist through both EAGALA and PATH Intl., and I proudly serve as a PATH Intl. Mentor for Equine Specialists pursuing or maintaining their ESMHL certification.

For more than a decade, my work has spanned nearly every corner of the equine-assisted field—facilitation, collaboration with mental health professionals, program development, equine welfare oversight, and specialist mentorship. I’ve supported veterans, adolescents, and adults through trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment wounds, and life transitions, consistently witnessing how horses illuminate truth, challenge incongruence, and create healing opportunities that traditional talk therapy alone often cannot access.

Throughout these years, I’ve worked in a variety of equine-assisted environments, from clinical EAP programs to EAL settings, professional trainings, and mentorship roles, giving me a unique, well-rounded perspective on what it truly takes to be an effective, ethical, and confident Equine Specialist. My approach is rooted in safety, grounded facilitation, and an unwavering respect for the horse–human relationship.

Mentorship has become one of the most meaningful parts of my career. I’ve developed a comprehensive, industry-aligned ES mentorship program that weaves together best practices from both the EAGALA Model and PATH Intl. standards. This track equips aspiring and developing Equine Specialists with the skills they need to step fully into their role: understanding horse behavior, reading subtle emotional cues, managing session flow, maintaining ethical boundaries, supporting mental health professionals, and ensuring the well-being of the horses who make this work possible.

Many mentorship offerings include PATH CEU opportunities, allowing currently certified specialists to deepen their professional competency while remaining aligned with national standards.

Why Work With Me

I bring a rare and integrative perspective to equine-assisted work as both a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and an experienced Equine Specialist. With over eight years in the field, I am trained in equine experiential psychodrama within Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy a highly specialized and uncommon modality that requires strong clinical insight, clear role boundaries, and ethical precision.

My background includes psychodrama training under a licensed psychologist, and an LPC. This collaborative work within a two-professional EAP team alongside an LPC, and independent Equine Specialist practice and mentorship at Horses Help of Arizona. This combination allows me to deeply understand the grey areas between EAL and EAP and, more importantly, how to navigate them with confidence.

Because I hold both equine and clinical roles, I am uniquely positioned to help Equine Specialists differentiate their scope, stay grounded in their role, avoid internalizing participant material, and resist slipping into a therapist lens. This clarity not only protects professionals ethically but also strengthens sessions, supports the clinical team, and promotes long-term sustainability in equine-assisted work.

At Partnering for Purpose, my mission is clear:
To cultivate meaningful, ethical, and transformative connections between people and horses, supporting healing, insight, growth, and sustainability for clients, professionals, and equine partners alike.
