You’re Already Investing in Yourself You’re Just Not Calling It That!

The question isn’t if you’re spending money each month, it’s what you’re choosing to grow from it

You probably invested in yourself this morning and didn’t even realize it. Maybe it was a quick Starbucks run on the way to the barn, or your music playing through your headphones as you drove, or even just the subscription you forgot you have that quietly renews each month. None of those things feel like “investments,” but they are. They make your day easier, more enjoyable, more manageable. And when you actually slow down and add it up, it’s not small. A few coffees a week can easily hit $70 or more a month. Add in music apps, streaming services, and those little convenience purchases, and suddenly you’re close to $100 or more every single month. And again, there’s nothing wrong with that. Those things serve a purpose. They support your mood, your energy, your routine.

But most of those investments are short term. They give you a moment of relief, a boost, a break in your day. What they don’t always do is grow you. And that’s where the shift starts to matter. Because not all investments carry the same kind of value. Some are about comfort. Some are about escape. And some are about growth. We don’t question paying for a gym membership because we understand what it represents. It’s not just access to equipment. It’s structure, accountability, consistency, and a space designed to help you become stronger. It’s an investment in your physical health because you know you’re not meant to figure that out alone.

But when it comes to your emotional support or your professional growth, especially in this work, it’s easy to hesitate. It’s easy to tell yourself you’ll figure it out as you go. And if you’re in Equine Assisted Learning or any learning-based environment, you know how often that actually happens. You’re navigating grey areas, questioning if you’re still in scope, trying to make the right calls in the moment, and doing your best to support your participants without crossing lines. And most of the time, you’re doing it alone. Not because you want to, but because that’s just how this work tends to feel.

The truth is, this work was never meant to be done in isolation. Just like you wouldn’t expect to build physical strength without support, structure, or guidance, you shouldn’t expect to carry the weight of this work on your own either. That’s where investing in something like the Partnering Together Circle shifts from being “just another expense” to something entirely different. It becomes a place where you’re not second guessing every decision, where you have real conversations with people who understand the work, where you gain clarity, structure, and confidence in how you’re showing up in your sessions.

Because at the end of the day, the question isn’t really about whether you’re already spending money each month. You are. The real question is what you’re choosing to invest in. Are you only investing in what gets you through the day, or are you also investing in what helps you grow, feel supported, and move forward with clarity and purpose?

So if you’re going to invest in yourself anyway, let it be intentional. Let it be something that actually gives back to you. This is your invitation to step into a space where you can connect with your herd, learn, expand, grow, and share alongside other equine professionals who understand this work.

The Partnering Together Circle is more than a membership. It’s a place to be supported, to be challenged, and to continue becoming the practitioner you know you’re capable of being.

Our first call is happening this Friday, and it’s your opportunity to step into a guided, topic-led conversation with real practitioners, real scenarios, and real support. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to stop doing this work alone, this is it. All calls will be recorded for replay convenience!

You don’t have to do this work alone. And you don’t have to keep figuring it out in isolation. Investing in yourself isn’t about spending more, it’s about choosing something that actually moves you forward.

I look forward to meeting you,

-Bri, LAC & Equine Specialist
